Guitars & Growlers McKinney Announces Relocation After 5 Years of Music, Food, and Community
*McKinney, TX* – After five unforgettable years, Guitars & Growlers McKinney announces that it will not be renewing its current lease and will be relocating. Having opened during the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, the McKinney location quickly became a beloved fixture in the community, offering a unique blend of live music, delicious food, and craft beer. While the decision to relocate comes with a heavy heart, we are incredibly grateful for the memories and moments we’ve shared with our patrons. Our last day will be October 20th. Please stop in and say goodbye.
“We’ve been fortunate to have the best regulars, an incredible staff, and a community that supported us from day one,” said the Guitars & Growlers team. “From the talented musicians who graced our stage to the friends and families who made us their go-to spot, we have nothing but gratitude for the love we’ve received.”
Over the past five years, Guitars & Growlers McKinney has hosted countless events that brought the community together. Jeff Groce’s renowned Singer/Songwriter nights and monthly Song Swaps have become local favorites, providing a space for both seasoned musicians and newcomers alike. The Sunday Pickers Circle, led by Greg Hargrove and Harold More, turned Sundays into true “Fundays,” where musicians of all kinds came together to create something special.
“We owe a big thank you to everyone who made music with us—whether you brought a guitar, a fiddle, or simply clapped along. Your passion filled our space with joy,” the Guitars & Growlers team continued. “Thank you to Headtilt Entertainment, Dave, and the many hosts who made our stage come alive over the years.”
A special thanks also goes to the breweries who partnered with us for unforgettable pint nights, introducing craft beer lovers to new brews they might not have discovered otherwise. Our collaborations with local breweries have been a proud part of our identity, and we’re honored to have been a hub for craft beer in McKinney.
As we prepare for this next chapter, we will be regrouping and working toward a new location in the future. Until then, we want to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported us. The memories of the musicians who played on our stage, from young performers taking their first steps in live music to professionals delivering unforgettable performances, will remain with us always.
To our amazing G&G community: thank you for your patronage, love, and support. This is not goodbye—just a “see you later.” We’ll be back when the time is right.
